Hotel Sustainability Basics

Hotel Sustainability Basics is a set of globally recognized and coordinated sustainability indicators, developed by the sector for the sector, representing the 12 fundamental actions for hotel sustainability.

These criteria have been developed under the auspices of the WTTC and through a working group consisting of 11 hotel companies, with the support of the Sustainable Hospitality Alliance. These criteria have been reviewed, analyzed, and refined through multiple rounds of industry consultations, ensuring they truly represent the common denominator and the most overarching sustainability measures across the sector.
