Webinar organised by Visit Finland to present the certificates recognised by the destination for its businesses to accredit their sustainable efforts and good practices.
Throughout 2021, Visit Finland has proposed to organise different webinars to present the certificates that companies can apply for in the development of their business activity, in order to highlight characteristics such as their sustainable efforts.
This initiative is part of the Sustainable Travel Finland (STF) programme, which aims to inform companies about those certificates or seals that, depending on their business type, allow them to highlight the development of their responsible tourism activities, with these labels being recognised by the destination itself as a guarantee of compliance with requirements or criteria that guarantee a real commitment to sustainability.
Among the sustainability certification labels recognised by Visit Finland is Biosphere as the only seal capable of highlighting the alignment of the management of companies with the achievement of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda. To raise awareness of this label, its methodology and certification process, the destination has organised a series of webinars in which it will present Biosphere, along with other certification seals, to its companies, with the first webinar organised specifically for DMC agencies, active tourism, nature and tour guide service companies taking place on 22 September 2021.
