An expert panel announced the nominees at the end of July where it was then up to the public to vote for their favourites to determine the winners.
The Okanagan Valley is in great company placing 6th after Door County, Wisconsin; White Mountains, New Hampshire; Finger Lakes, New York; Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania; and the Upper Peninsula, Michigan.
With the 10Best.com website averaging 5 million visitors a month, this level of exposure for the Okanagan Valley in fall is extremely exciting and Thompson Okanagan would like to thank everyone who took the time to vote. It is so greatly appreciated and a fantastic opportunity to share the Okanagan Valley with the USA TODAY audience.
Make sure to tag them or use #ThompsonOkanagan on social media to share your photos about this great certificated Biosphere Destination fall if you are lucky to be there.
