The Cap Roig Festival, organized by Fundación Bancaria "la Caixa" has become the 2017 edition of the first music festival in the world to achieve this recognition.
From Fundación Bancaria "la Caixa", aware of the importance of guaranteeing quality and maintaining the prestige of the festival, they have chosen to meet demanding criteria of sustainability in the global sense: sociocultural, economic and environmental.
The Biosphere certification of the Festival is another step in this direction and endorses the "la Caixa" Banking Foundation in the continuous and responsible improvement demanded by today's society, which is increasingly demanding in environmental issues, and in its commitment to the Goals of Sustainable Development, approved at the United Nations Summit in 2015 and the Paris Summit against climate change (COP21).
In this sense, the "la Caixa" Banking Foundation, aware of the importance of mitigating the impact of its activity on the environment, has adopted a series of commitments to prevent the deterioration of the environment. For this reason, since 2011, it has been promoting a carbon management strategy, which includes the calculation and compensation of its carbon footprint.
