The “Re Think Hotel” awards inaugurate the international sustainable tourism award “Re Think Biosphere"

The TOP 10 best projects of sustainability and rehabilitation in hotels at an international level were announced at the 3rd edition of the Re Think Hotel Contest.

This January 18th, the TOP 10 best projects of sustainability and rehabilitation in hotels at an international level were announced at the 3rd edition of the Re Think Hotel Contest. The awards ceremony, in which these projects are recognized and promoted, took place on FiturTech.

The 17 Sustainable Development Goals have set the valuation criteria, relying primarily on environmental conservation, building sustainability, the creation of marketing and CSR strategies and actions, heritage conservation and accessibility.

During the celebration of this event, the International Award for Sustainable Tourism "Re Think Hotel Biosphere" was officially announced. It will award in 2018 the best responsible hotels in the world, demonstrating the sector's high interest in these initiatives and the importance of promoting and recognizing improvement actions.

 

As a prelude to this new contest, a special mention to City Express Hotels was made, as an example of an international chain that has opted for sustainability.
